⚡Debriefing with DeCharge⚡
In the past month, DeCharge:
Won India Blockchain Week’s demo day in Bangalore
Surpassed 1 million total charging minutes
Partnered with DePHY integrates Beast chargers with DePHY Nodes
Joined forces with GEODNET to launch a Triple Bundle
Announced VoltBox, a solar-powered mobile charger for up to 20 EVs or 80 two-wheelers
Details below:
Last week, Token Relations sat down with DeCharge co-founders for a quarterly webinar. We discussed their recent updates and achievements over the past three months as well as upcoming developments for its DePIN network in 2025.
The network had an eventful quarter as it won the Superteam UAE founders villa demo day. The team also won India Blockchain Week’s demo day in Bangalore earlier this month.
DeCharge recently hit a milestone, surpassing 1 million total charging minutes across its network, up 39.21% on the month. The growth continued across other metrics including charging sessions and locations, up at 41,300 and 282, respectively. The network plans to expand on these stats through new DePIN-centric innovations and partnerships, the founders said during the webinar
The founders also introduced DeCharge Beast, an upgraded 7kW charger, and the Open Source Energy Module (OSEM) made in partnership with DePHY networks. For context, a 7kW electric vehicle (EV) charger can provide up to 30 miles for each hour charged.
DeCharge’s new Beast model is twice as powerful as its Mini model, making it an expansive solution for both two-wheel and four-wheel EVs. As a DePIN, its community-driven design gives local stakeholders fractionalized ownership, addressing common issues of accessibility and high infrastructure costs for EVs.
DeCharge’s partnership with DePHY network integrates every Beast charger with the DePHY Nodes network. Recently, the network also partnered with web3 navigation network GEODNET to launch a Triple Bundle including: a GEODNET Base Station that provides precision geolocation, a DeCharge Beast for EV charging, and a DePHY Node for smart energy optimization.
Last month, the team announced the upcoming deployment of the VoltBox on major highways. VoltBox is a mobile solar-powered charging station capable of providing clean energy to up to 20 EVs or 80 two-wheelers daily. This turns any location into an EV charging hub, addressing range anxiety, which is common for EV drivers. Voltbox ultimately aims to provide infrastructure with a scalable, off-grid, and sustainable system powered by solar energy.
⚡Charged-up for 2025⚡
DeCharge’s focus for 2025 remains the same: They aim to continue providing infrastructure for distributed energy resources (DER), creating sustainable and affordable charging hubs, while empowering the local communities. The founders also mentioned plans to implement AI agents within their ecosystem to optimize charging and enhance user experiences.
As its manufacturing and EV charging deployments progress, DeCharge looks to expand more within India and globally. Innovations such as DeCharge Beast and VoltBox provide scalable and replicable models and have led to additional DeCharge growth in countries like Singapore. Currently addressing Asia's growing EV delivery ecosystem, the network is strategically positioning itself to meet the massive EV infrastructure demands anticipated by 2030 and beyond.
Partnerships with DePHY network, Geodnet and others could also help broaden DeCharge’s exposure and technology. Global clients and partners can be key to accelerating deployments in regions such as the U.S., Dubai, and the European Union, the team said. Overall, the network’s recent technology upgrades, strategic partnerships and rising metrics have the ability to positively impact energy distribution through community-owned infrastructures.
