Highlight of the The Root Network
💫What’s happening: Futureverse hosted its monthly Open Space focusing on the ecosystem’s latest developments.
💫Why it matters: Futureverse is focused on prioritizing interoperability and building products that can enable its community members to be decision makers, as well, the team’s co-founder Aaron McDonald said on an X space.
Futureverse's mission focuses on interoperability because “that's the only meaningful thing in web3 gaming,” McDonald said. Other elements such as asset management, intelligence interoperability, and material and resource interoperability are the three pillars the ecosystem hopes to enable, too.
The Third Kingdom and Promptopia play a role in shaping how Futureverse wants to be a web3 platform built for interoperability and community collaboration, McDonald shared.
The Third Kingdom can give players opportunities to decide what goes in the material world, its value, and how players can interact with it. In the game, players can make choices to decide gameplay mechanics like the supply of different assets. Additionally, developers can choose how resources are unlocked, such as a soft requirement to utilize or burn mechanisms.
McDonald also discussed Promptopia as a tool that allows players to build 3D objects by using prompts that developers can include in games and experiences. The tool could incline regular consumers to become creators, and make assets that can be put directly into the open metaverse.
Futureverse’s core mission is to empower its users, while also maintaining interoperability across its various web3 games. By providing experiences such as The Third Kingdom and Promptopia, it reinforces this message and paves the way for future community collaboration.
💫 The bigger picture: All in all, the Futureverse wants to build tools to enable a more interoperable digital future.
“Imagination fuels creativity and takes things that regular users create to put them directly into a metaverse experience,” McDonald said. "We want to embrace behavior such as environmental augmentation and new kinds of experiences that players can feel a part of.”
