💫What’s happening: Futureverse launched Jen, an ethically-trained AI text-to-music platform aimed to help artists create more personalized melodies.
💫Why it matters: Jen is an AI model that plans to utilize its text-to-music feature and waveform-based diffusion models to allow both professionals and amateurs to produce high-quality sounds. With the use of AI, Futureverse looks to push the boundaries of what's possible in the music industry by giving artists the opportunity to create customized tunes.
Jen is "ethically-trained" as it has 40 fully-licensed catalogs in its initial training set, it also emphasizes transparency and copyright identification through utilizing a database of 150 million tracks.
It also uses The Root Network blockchain to generate cryptographic hashes for each track, to further verify each track's creation.
The release of Jen is part of Futureverse’s ongoing efforts to integrate AI into various creative fields. This initiative aims to enhance digital experiences, which is a core value emphasized by Futureverse and its metaverses.
Additionally, the model can help streamline creative processes, potentially making it more efficient and user friendly for musicians. By making music creation more accessible, Futureverse aims to attract more mainstream and web3-based users, while also promoting the use of AI.
The addition of AI into music creation tools can help reduce barriers to entry, which in turn make it easier for people to participate in the creative song writing process. It showcases the potential of AI to transform traditional artistic processes and opens the door for new opportunities, collaboration and innovation within the music industry.
