Spotlight on Optimism’s Superchain

Highlighting some of the biggest updates on Optimism’s Superchain this week.

⚡What’s happening: GameSwift, a web3 gaming-focused platform, launched GameSwift Modular Chain, an AI gaming layer-2 blockchain (L2) built on the OP Stack.

⚡Why it matters: GameSwift’s flagship product, GameSwift Modular Chain is a gaming-focused L2 solution that plans to utilize Optimism’s low transaction fees and user-centric approach for its expansion. GameSwift hopes to make web3 games more user focused, and create a better experience for its players and developers. This initiative aims to enhance web3 gaming experiences, prioritizing player and developer satisfaction, which is a core value emphasized by Optimism.

By integrating into the Superchain, alongside over 100 existing games, GameSwift aims to create a more reliable network for developers, and is capable of scaling to accommodate its growing user base. By capitalizing on the Superchain ecosystem and the OP stack, it can enable developers to build more user-centric games, hopefully in a more cost efficient manner. GameSwift also looks to leverage the Superchain through cross-platform collaborations and user inflow between other rollups within the ecosystem to boost visibility.

⚡TLDR: GameSwift’s introduction of its L2 solution on the OP stack can provide growth opportunities for web3 games on its platform and game developers in general. This integration could make games faster and more seamless for its players, as well as cheaper and more reliable systems for its developers.
