Highlighting some of the biggest developments at Sei.
💨 What’s happening: KAIO has expanded its tokenized fund lineup on Sei with the launch of Laser Digital’s Laser Carry Fund (LCF).
💨 Why it matters: Managed by Laser Digital, the digital assets arm of Nomura Group, the Laser Carry Fund generates returns by capturing funding rate inefficiencies and staking yield opportunities.
Like other tokenized funds, LCF gives institutional investors access to treasury operations and DeFi composability, enabling their use as collateral or yield reserves in stablecoin setups.
The addition of this fund builds on KAIO’s recent launches on Sei: BlackRock’s liquidity fund and Brevan Howard’s Master Fund came to the network from October 8, and was followed by Hamilton Lane’s private credit offering on October 15. Altogether the funds expand Sei’s relevance and presence in the real-world asset (RWA) space, bringing its value on the network to $23.9 million.
Similar to other funds on KAIO’s infrastructure, LCF streamlines subscriptions, redemptions, and reporting for accredited investors.
💨 The bigger picture: As demand for RWA from institutions and asset managers increases, the addition of LCF to Sei has the potential to accelerate broader adoption by unlocking 24/7 liquidity and automation.
KAIO’s various RWA launches on Sei pave the way for even more onchain assets to follow suit. Collectively, these integrations signal RWAs’ shift from pilots to scale, positioning Sei to host tokenized bonds, equities, and more in mainstream capital markets.
