Inside the network
🔺What we’re watching: NodeKit shared its demo of Javelin, its software that lets users send messages and move funds across multiple rollups.
🔺Why it matters: Javelin is a software that creates communication across Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible blockchains and rollups. This allows users to bridge funds and complete transactions across chains and rollups, implementing synchronous cross-chain communication to do so. Developers can build various applications using Javelin, allowing users to perform a single transaction on multiple chains, acting as if they were done on a single chain.
There’s a vast amount of EVM-compatible blockchains and rollups today, but NodeKit wants to help alleviate problems users face today by providing them the ability to submit and execute transactions on a single block, with the hopes of providing a more seamless and faster user experience.
NodeKit also plans to further enhance the capabilities of Javelin by introducing communication across popular cross-chain protocols, such as: margin trading, lending functions, decentralized exchanges, and more.
🔺TLDR: NodeKit showcased Javelin, hoping to push the boundaries for developers and users alike to make layer-2 blockchains perform like a single layer-1 blockchain, while leveraging the Avalanche network to do so.
