Sei Showcase

💨 What’s happening: Metrics for decentralized applications (dApps) on Sei rose on the week for unique active wallets, transactions and volume, DappRadar data shows. This coincides with the growth from Sei-based web3 games such as Archer Hunter and FishWar during the same timeframe.

💨 Why it matters: Over the course of a week, Sei network recorded 1.4 million unique active wallets (UAW), 4.03 million decentralized application (dApp) related transactions and processed $19.7 billion in dApp volume.

The network's ability to support multiple high-transaction games is indicative that the infrastructure can meet the demand needed for web3 gaming, as highlighted below.

This growth has been arguably fueled by Sei's gaming sector as Archer Hunter has seen a 1,158% surge in UAW to 255,100 on the week. In addition, FishWar saw a 123% rise to 101,830 in UAW, during the same time period, showcasing the increase in user activity. Jellyverse volume led the way for dApp volume on the network seeing a 228% increase over the week to $11.53 billion. DragonSwap also played a contributing factor, processing $7.88 billion in volume or 193% increase on the week.

In Sei’s case, UAW is a key indicator for its gaming growth because it showcases the amount of accounts interacting with the ecosystem’s gaming dApps. Meanwhile, the dApp volume increase could mean the network’s focus on performance is relaying over to the projects building on top of it.

As its design for fast transaction finality and high throughput matures, Sei can continue to deliver fast speeds for real-time interactions – which is important for dApps and user adoption.

💨 The bigger picture: The Sei Network is designed with a focus on high-performance blockchain technology. As a result, it has emerged as a notable player in the web3 gaming ecosystem.

Its emphasis on fast transaction processing and low latency aligns with the demands of blockchain-based experiences, where speed and scalability are critical for a healthy and engaging user experience.

As Sei continues to upgrade its infrastructure and expand its ecosystem, it positions the chain for more, stronger onchain activity.
