🌐What happened: Mereo, a social ticketing platform, launched its beta app on Aptos, in hopes to revolutionize ticket and fan experiences.
🌐Why does it matter: Mereo utilizes IP ownership and the Aptos blockchain to create digital tickets and IDs, enabling users the ability to earn rewards and complete quests. It provides personalized experiences for fan engagement with artists or while attending a certain event. Fans can chat with their favorite artist or experience gated post-event content by completing quests within the app.
Through real world assets (RWA) and blockchain transparency, Mereo aims to provide a better experience for fans and artists. With an increase of ticket scalpers that traditional ticket platforms experience, Mereo could potentially deter them away.
🌐The big picture: Mereo aims to reward fans and community members through Aptos’ blockchain technology. It plans to enhance the overall experience by creating value for true fans and community members that traditional ticketing methods haven’t tapped into yet.
