Sei Showcase
💨 What’s happening: Sei hit new peaks of 856,000 in EVM daily transactions and 519,000 daily active addresses on Dec. 24 and 27 respectively, according to data on Artemis.
💨 Why it matters: These new all-time highs for the network came during the holiday season. It’s important to take this time frame into account because, although it's qualitative, more often than not it’s a time where users are with families and friends. This points toward the notion that despite it being a time period where a majority of users could be offline for work, people are still engaging onchain. With that said, Sei Network still hit new heights.
Furthermore, Sei saw an increase in its daily active addresses on Dec. 27, hitting a new high of 570,300. This also aligns with the network’s current trend of continuously hitting new all-time highs for this metric. Two weeks ago, Sei’s previous daily active address peak was 376,000.
This growth is arguably fueled by Sei’s expanding presence in the gaming and DeFi sector, as well its emphasis on creator empowerment. This inclines user engagement and activity onchain.
💨 The bigger picture: The Sei Network is heading into the new year with promising signs, according to these rising metrics.
Traditionally, users and developers pick and choose networks and applications based on the utility and attention. If these numbers continue on an upward trend to close out 2024, more users and developers may turn to Sei in 2025.
