Inside the network
🔺What we’re watching: OverTrip, a web3 battle royale game, reached over 35,000 active players, with more than 1.5 million hours played and an average of 4,000 daily active users following its launch two weeks ago on Epic Games.
🔺Why it matters: OverTrip was created by Gamestarter to be apart of its Avalanche-powered Gamechain and launched recently on the Epic Games store.
Following its strong initial metrics, OverTrip is signaling potential to become one of the largest games on the Avalanche network.
The game also aims to establish a strong player base and enhance its capabilities by integrating into Gamechain and seasonal reward campaigns to reach new audiences and incentivize them.
🔺The bigger picture: Although it’s early days, OverTrip’s launch phase positions itself within the competitive battle royale gaming space, blending traditional gaming mechanics with crypto-native features.
The game's various in-game features could help differentiate itself in an already crowded market. If the game evolves with future seasons and retains its initial hype, it has the potential to become a staple in the web3 gaming sector.
